AGAPE Sports Medicine

Initial Exam:

Your first visit at Agape will be will be a thorough head to toe assessment. Our doctors will run neurological and orthopedic tests which will allow them to pinpoint the area of concern and create a specific care plan tailored for you individual needs.

For the examination, please wear clothes that will allow you to move freely. We pride ourselves on finding what others could not, and we accomplish this with our thorough exam. The exam includes palpation (feeling bony landmarks, muscles, tendons, ligaments etc.), neurological assessments, range of motion, orthopedic testing and laboratory testing/imaging if your case requires it. Most of the time there will be some form of functional testing as well. The exam typically takes about an hour. If your specific case is more involved it may be split between two visits due to the amount of time it may take. At the end of the exam, you will be given a report of findings, meaning you will be given the following; a diagnoses or multiple diagnosis, a treatment plan, lab/imaging may be discussed or a referral to other healthcare providers.

Treatments at Agape depend entirely on what was found during your initial exam. Treatments may include soft tissue treatments such as active release technique, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, taping, bracing, exercises, stretches, nutritional recommendations etc. Treatments typically are 15-30 minutes. We do ask that once treated please allow your body at least 24 hours to feel the effects/changes. We expect this to happen after the first treatment.

Nutrition Response Testing:

With Nutrition Response Testing (NRT) our goal is to restore health and longevity. NRT is probably very different from anything you have used or experienced. It is a non-invasive system of analyzing the body to determine the underlying causes of ill health. NRT is very precise and scientific. However, if we were to analyze you using Nutrition Response Testing before it was explained to you, you might find it strange.

There are two key parts: the analysis: This is where we assess your body’s current health status and the personalized health improvement program which is where you use your personalized clinical nutrition program.
