Equine & Horse CHIROPRACTOR

Las vegas HORSE chiropractor

A horse chiropractor can treat any animal with vertebrae. This includes horses, lizards, snakes, birds, cats, and dogs. If you’re looking for a horse chiropractor near you in the southwest, you’re in the right place! Based in Las Vegas, Dr. Bradshaw will travel to your farm or home, specifically to help your horses.

Horse Chiropractic Treatment

Horse chiropractic care, like other forms of healthcare, involves an initial evaluation, an individualized treatment plan to help your pet recover, and ongoing treatment and recommendations.

During the initial evaluation, we will start with:

  • Case history consisting of information from the owner

  • Information from prior veterinary radiographs or laboratory analysis

  • Any previous diagnosis and therapies (what has and hasn’t helped your pet?)

What to expect from a horse chiropractor

An examination includes the following: posture analysis, gait analysis, vertebral and extremity static and motion palpation, orthopedic evaluation, and neurological evaluation.

After the above information has been reviewed, our horse chiropractors will make adjustments where indicated and prescribe rehabilitation and therapeutic exercises. Our top animal chiropractic doctor, Dr. Brandi Bradshaw, is AVCA certified to ensure your pet’s safety and prioritized care.

Here is a review of Dr. Bradshaw from Cody P on Google:

“Doctor B is a healer of the four-leggeds. We took our three pooches in and I gotta say when we left, they were all moving like water! You can just tell that they feel better. They move better and seem more mellow. Highly recommended to take your kids in!”

Horse Chiropractic is more than just supporting bones; it tackles your horse's general health. Chiropractic care is a drug-free method to restore the spine/skeletal system. When the spine is skewed, it unfavorably disturbs nerve function. And it can damagingly affect the task of organs and tissues supported by that nerve. This can bring about a sum of health problems in your horse.

Horse Nutrition Response Testing

As a new horse owner, you may be wondering how to improve your pet’s digestion. If your pet seems to not digest its food properly or regurgitate before being able to eat, Dr. Bradshaw is able to run diagnostic testing to see what is working optimally and what is not.

The benefit of nutrition response testing is that we’re able to see what foods your pet can easily digest, and which to avoid. These early indicators can help save money and discomfort for your pet, which is why we’re committed to practicing preventive animal care at Agape.

Here is a review of our nutrition response testing from Rena H. on Google:

“I cannot say enough good things about Agape Animal Chiropractic and Dr. Bradshaw. Our fur baby Molly is 8 years old; we’ve been going to Dr. B. for well over a year now when we started to notice that Molly was not putting much if any, weight on her back legs. Dr. B. assessed Molly and proceeded to provide treatment. After the first treatment, Molly was walking normally again and was completely refreshed! She walked on all fours again and even jumped into our vehicle, which she also hadn’t done for several months. We continue to go for maintenance treatment, and each time Dr. B. provides treatment using various methods, Molly is so much more mobile after treatment. We recently also had Molly tested for food allergies using the ANIMAL NUTRITION RESPONSE TESTING that Dr. B. does. Dr. Bradshaw identified foods that Molly is sensitive to and nutrients that were missing from her diet. It has been only one month since the testing and supplement use, and Molly’s tummy is doing so much better! After only one month from the testing and supplement use, most of Molly’s organs which were experiencing deficiencies are healed and the supplements were adjusted. Dr. Bradshaw and her assistant Jen are so caring and good with Molly and have helped Molly so much! We are long-term clients and will highly recommend Agape Animal Chiropractic to ANYONE with an animal (Dr. B. provides care for more than just dogs)! Dr. B. has made such a difference in Molly’s quality of life. THANK YOU!!”

What Does an Equine Chiropractor Do?

When a chiropractor inspects a horse, they look to recognize joints with a decreased range of motion. Numerous people are familiar with the concept of a bone being “displaced," and it is very normal for people to have heard of particular joints being "out."

Nevertheless, that jargon should be sidestepped, as it gives an imprecise picture of what is happening. In reality, the joint is limited in its usual range of motion.

These “restricted” joints are adjusted by a horse chiropractor. The objective of any regulation is to reinstate the ideal range of motion to that joint. This will help lessen inflammation and the burden on neighboring nerves.

during YOUR chiropractic appointment

Throughout the exam, our chiropractor will judiciously palpate your horse’s joints. She will assess their range of motion, normally mentioned as "motion palpation." Specific care is given to every joint in the backbone, but limbs are also assessed.

When a limited joint is recognized, it is rectified by an adjustment, which is a very precise and tender push into the joint. After the correction, the joint is checked again to be positive that it is moving more easily.

The adjustments typically look like rapid little thrusts on the animal. The chiropractor will stand on a stool to be at an accurate angle to the spine and be elevated enough above the horse. Most animals are tranquil throughout their appointment.

Sedation is not required and is frequently disagreeable since it will hinder the capability of the nervous system to react to the treatment. Most changes can take around 15-30 minutes. Contact us today for more information on the cost of an equine chiropractor.
